Kevin Dick has a 23-year career in economic, community and workforce development. He comes to Carolina Small Business Development Fund from the City of Charlotte where he served as Deputy Director of Economic Development and Assistant Director of Neighborhood and Business Services. He has successfully directed the Office of Economic and Workforce Development for the City of Durham, NC, the Durham Workforce Development Board, and the operations department of the Broward Workforce Development Board in Broward County, FL. He also served as Assistant to the City Manager of Dania Beach, FL.
Kevin has significant experience working in equitable economic development, having developed, implemented and administered workforce development, neighborhood-based economic development and small business capacity-building programs that have been nationally recognized by organizations and funders such as the National League of Cities, U.S. Conference of Mayors, Walmart Foundation, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Walmart Foundation.
He has a Masters’ Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelors’ Degree in International Business from Georgetown University. Kevin is originally from Montclair, NJ and is married with a daughter.
